CDM Smith is seeking a Lead IT Business Analyst with a strong background in Oracle Financials (R12 or Fusion) and EPM. Must have proven ability to partner with executive level stakeholders to translate requirements to technical team. Must understand Finance processes and IT development process.
Work directly with business owners to facilitate requirements gathering, solution design and analysis, and document business requirements.
Execute software implementation, process redesign and ERP/Financial Systems projects.
Update and maintain configuration changes on R12 or Fusion including customizations, personalization, reports, interfaces, testing and user training.
Provide application knowledge in evaluating and improving business processes.
Provide input on new applications releases and new functionality.
Work with Finance users in supporting them with day to day issues, providing system support for Oracle R12 and Cloud ERP e-business suite and related third-party applications.
Recommend road maps to close performance gaps and developing high level implementation plans.
Ensure compliance to change control and SDLC (design to implement) procedures.
Coordinate and manage application support with vendors and external consultants.
Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering, and Business Support:
Leads, designs, develops and implements basic to moderately complex Information Technology (IT) business systems.
Performs requirements gathering, system design, prototyping, system integration testing, system installation, and deployment of business system(s).
Specializes in a specific, large program/system or provides general support for a wide variety of programs/systems, if required.
Provides user and application support of escalated IT issues as defined by the group’s incident and prioritization processes
Provides technical guidance, training and mentoring to more junior staff.
May supervise the work of junior staff on project work.
Provides advice in area of expertise outside of the business analysis group.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong Finance process knowledge in the following areas: Project Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Core Finance processes (GL, Intercompany, AP, AR, Project costing and billing)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact up to the senior level team members.
Good interpersonal skills - Ability to meet with the business and document requirements concisely
Strong problem-solving skills
Solid people management and leadership skills
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Visio
Highly prefer extensive implementation (technical and functional) knowledge of Oracle ERP Finance applications - R12 EBS and Fusion.
Previous experience implementing Oracle EPM.
Previous experience working in the Finance function, especially with Project Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Core Finance processes (GL, Intercompany, AP, AR, Project costing and billing).
Ability to quickly understand financial, business, and technical concepts.
Ability to lead cross functional design and development discussions to analyze requirements and recommend solutions.
Ability to understand design recommendations impact on Oracle modules and well as integrations.
Business process analysis and redesign experience with strong business analysis skills, process mapping, functional solution design, and writing specifications in a clear and concise manner.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently, multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High-level understanding of programming languages, such as PL/SQL.
Previous experience as a consultant desirable.
Certification: CBAP or PMI-BPA desirable
